Our clients started out with a large primary suite, but the space, which also housed a small gym, was not utilized to its fullest potential. The first step in creating the perfect retreat was to relocate the gym to an unused space in the lower level, which also allowed us to completely reimagine and enlarge it.
The new spa bath, now double in size, occupies the original closet space and bathroom. To create the sense of ultimate luxury, our clients requested European styling and finishes, a dedicated makeup area, and an extra-large shower with steam.
Storage abounds in the former gym location which we transformed into an elaborate dressing room. Continuing on the Italian design theme from the bathroom, we created a combination of open and closed storage and took advantage of creative storage solutions in the window seat and eaves.
A nook in a dormer directly outside the dressing room provided the perfect spot to house a custom jewelry armoire. We selected a silver metallic lacquer finish and outfitted it with specialty inserts to organize the dream jewelry collection.
The clients now have the perfect retreat to escape to and a gym to rival the pros!
