Colonial Dripping in Custom

This 1920s Garrison-style colonial had the expected small rooms and lots of walls. The owners love to entertain and wanted to create a grand space for large family gatherings, many chef’s in the kitchen, and day to day enjoyment.

By opening up the walls and adding an addition to the back of the house, the floorplan now includes a new mud room, a powder room and a cook’s dream kitchen designed for beauty while function and small details accommodate the petite chef of the house. Dark woods provide the warmth of a colonial, while the custom stain on the two wood varieties adds a modern and original feel. The smart island and sink placement accommodates both prep and clean-up routines, by design.

On the second floor, repurposing rooms allowed for a new bedroom and bath plan of a luxurious master hotel suite, with a new master bath and built-in dressing room tailored to the specific needs of the couple. The bath style and fixtures carried forward the theme of a traditional colonial with modern luxury throughout.

It is amazing what is possible. Let’s have a conversation about your home and the space you’d like to transform. We look forward to speaking with you.
