KITCHEN GOES COSTAL
Retiring to their Cape Cod getaway home was a dream, and for many years the owners looked forward to the time when they could enjoy it every single day.
They transformed the kitchen to bring to life their vision of sharing, entertaining friends, and creating memories with their grown children and grandchildren, and even accommodate an addition to the family, a future pup.
The traditional cherry cabinetry and black countertops moved out and made way for an open, airy, Scandinavian design-inspired feel, with clean lines of different woods, colors and textures, punctuated by the stunning tile backsplash wall of blue iridescent tile with an ocean feel, and the textures in the prep sink and dry bar areas.
A few tailored details on the oven wall were extended to provide a cookbook collection library, and a pet feeding station in anticipation of their future pup, Ringo.
